Joining Forces To Offer Physicians A Stronger & Better Medical Malpractice Solution: Effective January 1, 2008, FLHPIX was acquired by Florida Doctors Insurance Company (FLDIC), a licensed and admitted Insurance Company located in Florida. FLDIC’s management team is comprised of executives with extensive experience in the Florida medical malpractice experience industry. FLDIC is located in Jacksonville, Florida with another office in Weston, Florida. As a result of the merger, Florida Doctors Insurance Company is now the endorsed carrier of Hillsborough County Medical Association and Pinellas County Medical Association. We have Moved:On Friday, May 4, 2007, Florida Doctors Insurance Company relocated our office. Please see the "Contact Us" page for our new mailing address and fax number. Agreement to Purchase: On Monday, April 16, 2007, our parent company, Florida Doctors Holding Company, announced an agreement to purchase Florida Healthcare Providers Insurance Services Company, LLC (the attorney-in-fact for Florida Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange). Bill Russell, CEO of Florida Doctors Insurance Company, said, "We are excited about joining the two companies together. The acquisition will enable Florida Doctors Holding Company to grow quickly and ahead of our projected business plan, while maintaining our unique doctor-friendly service orientation. Our combined resources will strengthen our position in the highly competitive Florida marketplace."
