Florida Doctors Insurance Company (FLDIC) has partnered with Employers Community Network (ECN) to offer a program for medical professional liability insurance.

Program discount:

Effective June 1, 2009, all members of the ECN are eligible for a 10% discount on FLDIC’s already competitive rates.

· If you are currently a member of the ECN, you can roll into this program.

· Members of the ECN that are already insured with FLDIC will receive their discount at renewal.

The following discounts are also available in coordination with the ECN Program discount:

Loss-Free, New to Practice, Part-time, NICA credit, Schedule credits/debits

Risk Reduction discount:

A 2.5% discount will also be available to those physicians attending a scheduled Risk Reduction Program sponsored by FLDIC and ECN.

Enhanced Retirement Tail Program Provisions:

Age at initial policy inception with ECN Program Eligible for free tail due to retirement after

60 & older Completing 1 year of coverage in the Program

55 – 59 Completing 2 years of coverage in the Program

54 & younger  Completing 3 years of coverage in the Program

Physicians currently insured with FLDIC will receive credit for their years of coverage. For example, a physician age 50 who has completed 2 years of coverage with FLDIC will only need to complete 1 additional year in order to be eligible for free tail due to retirement.

Tail coverage is provided free of charge upon the insured’s death or permanent disability at any age, with no restriction on the length of coverage with FLDIC.
